ECODESIGN Information
The Austrian ECODESIGN Information platform has been running since 1996, operated by the ECODESIGN Team at the Institute for Engineering Design, Vienna University of Technology. The principle idea was to collect all interesting information and links about ECODESIGN and make it accessable to a broad audience.

Eurosif
Even though the beginnings of SRI in Austria were slow and comparatively late, the public awareness of the issue is growing. And in spite of the fact that disclosure regulations for pension funds have been released only recently four out of nine occupational pension funds - established in 2002 - have been investing responsibly on a voluntary basis for years. Moreover these four pension funds applied for a sustainability-rating by the NGO OGUT and received a certificate.

Volunteers for Peace: Austria
Offers over 3,400 affordable, short-term voluntary service projects in 100+ countries, including 9 in Austria. These international voluntary service projects are an opportunity to participate in meaningful community service while living and interacting in an intercultural environment. Work projects include: construction/renovation of low-income housing or community buildings, historic preservation, archeology; environmental projects such as trail building, environmental education, wildlife surveying, park maintenance, organic farming; social services working with children, the elderly, physically or mentally handicapped, refugees, minority groups, drug/alcohol recovery, AIDS education; as well as arts projects and festivals.
